Before you spend one more dollar on your home, find out who it should be for
Make a Home to Love is an interior design course you talk to. You work through each lesson with an AI coach, gather your taste from your whole life, and name your style in one sentence. One module at a time. No shopping lists. No guesswork.
I've been an interior designer for over 35 years. This is the question I ask before anything else.
Not "what's your budget". Not "what style do you like". I ask a client to describe, in their own words, the home they want to live in. Then I ask them to tell me about a room they've loved. Then I walk their house.
That's it. That's the beginning of every project I've ever taken on, and it's the part nobody does for themselves.
Most people start with what to buy. Which shelf, which paint, which sofa, which rug. They're making decisions before they know what they're deciding for. Then something looks wrong, and they can't say why, so they buy something else.
By the time most clients reach me, they've spent real money on the wrong things. Not bad things. Wrong ones. Things that don't belong in the home they were actually trying to build.
The cheapest money you'll ever spend on your home
You don't need a bigger budget. You don't need a better eye. You need to know what you're building toward.
This course is my client process, made available to anyone who wants to do it for themselves. And it starts where every project starts: with you.
Find your interior identity. Not a style label you borrowed from a magazine. A single sentence that comes out of your own life: what you've loved, what you've kept, how you actually live in your rooms.
In Module 1 you build it. Taste Timeline: five to seven spaces you've loved, and what they had in common. The Love Sheet: the objects you already own that you genuinely love, photographed and interrogated, because they'll tell you your materials and colours before you know them yourself. The Room Walk: every room observed, untidied, with what's missing named honestly. Then one sentence.
By the end of Module 1 you have a standard. From there, every decision becomes a check rather than a gamble.
A course you talk to
This is where it works differently from a PDF. The AI has my method built into it, and it coaches you through the lessons in order, one at a time.
- You do the work, not just the reading. Every lesson ends with something in your hand: a list, a photograph, a sentence.
- It answers what the lesson doesn't cover. Stuck on your third identity statement? Ask. Not sure whether something on your Love Sheet counts? Ask.
- It checks your decisions against your standard. Once your identity statement exists, it will hold you to it, which is exactly what a designer does.
You work through eight modules: Your Interior Identity, Clearing the Way, Renew, Reacquire, Colour and Light, Surfaces and Materials, Styling Your Space, Living In It.
The method is the same whether you rent or own, whether you've been in the same house for twenty years or moved in last month. The starting point never changes: your taste, not someone else's.
Why identity comes first, and always has
Every decision in your home is a judgement call. Should this wall be that colour? Does this chair belong? Is this worth repairing?
Without a standard, every one of those is a guess. A house built on guesses never quite comes together, and you can feel it even when you can't name it.
So we do the hardest part first. It's also the cheapest part. Almost nothing in this course requires spending money, and that's deliberate.
What this is not
Not a renovation guide. Nothing here needs a builder.
Not a shopping list. There's no prescribed style, and that's the point. Your light, your objects, your life.
Not rules about what goes with what. Anyone who gives you the right answer without asking those questions is guessing, and you'll be able to tell.
What it is
The question my clients pay thousands to be asked, and the process for answering it at your own pace. For $12.50 a month, cancel whenever you like.
Work through the modules in order. Some people do one a week. Some take a season. The pace that works is the pace you'll keep.
By the end you'll have a home that reflects who you actually are, and a standard you can apply to every decision from here on. Not a finished house. A home that's yours, and that you know how to keep.

What this is
This is a course you can talk to.
Most interior advice starts with what to buy. This one starts with who you are, because every decision in a home is a judgement call, and a judgement call without a standard is a guess. Module 1 gives you the standard. Everything after it is execution.
I don't know what my style is. Help me find it.
Make a Home to Love — Your Interior Identity
Good question. Here's what makeahometolove teaches about that, and how it fits what you're doing.
What you can ask
- I don't know what my style is. Help me find it.
- My home doesn't feel like mine and I can't work out why.
- I'm renting, so is there any point doing this?
- I'm ready to start. Ask me the first question.

Anna-Carin McNamara is the founder and director of ANNA.CARIN, an award-winning interior designer who creates reflective homes shaped by the rituals and rhythms of everyday life. Raised in Sweden and trained at the Royal College of Art, London, she brings disciplined Scandinavian design principles to Australian living, consciously weaving in the light, scale, informality and climate of the Antipodes. Her work sits at the intersection of lived experience, daily routine and enduring design. In a sea of interiors designed for the photograph, her work is grounded in something quieter and more lasting: how a home lives, feels and evolves over time. These are spaces designed not for a moment, but for a lifetime. Her process is deeply collaborative, establishing a shared language between client and designer through narrative, descriptive cues and even a theme song, capturing the character of each home with quiet precision.
Questions
What do I actually get?
A course you work through with an AI coach that has my client process built into it. Eight modules, lessons in order, and the AI guides you through each one the way I'd guide a client. No prompting, no setup.
Do I need to own my home for this to work?
No. The first module is about identity, which has nothing to do with ownership. Renters do the same exercises as homeowners. The sentence you write at the end transfers to every home you'll ever live in.
Will this tell me what colours to paint my walls?
Not in this module. Colour comes later, and it comes from your identity and your light, not from a trend list. Module 1 is the foundation. Without it, colour advice is just someone else's guess.
I've bought things for my home that I regret. Will this stop that?
Yes, that's the point. When you know what you're building toward, you stop buying out of hope. You'll know whether something belongs before you pay for it.
What if I don't know what I like?
That's exactly who this is for. The lessons are built to find the evidence that's already around you. You'll start with one object in your home you'd be sad to lose. That's enough to begin.
Do I need to be good with AI?
No. There's nothing to set up and nothing to "prompt". Open it and type the way you'd talk to me. Ask what you'd ask me.
Isn't this just ChatGPT?
No. ChatGPT guesses from the whole internet. This only knows my method, my examples and my rules, so the guidance stays inside the process and doesn't drift into generic decorating advice.
What happens after I buy?
It opens in your free Eden account right away, on web and phone. You keep it. When I update the method, your copy updates too.
